LOS ANGELES, CA – Jan. 11, 2019 – Conqur Endurance Group, event organizer of the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, announced the iconic Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K at the Rose Bowl returns for the third annual race through the scenic Pasadena course. Passing local landmarks such as Cal Tech University, the Colorado Street Bridge, Old Town Pasadena and finishing at the world-famous Rose Bowl, more than 10,000 athletes are expected to take to the streets on race day, Sunday, Jan. 20. Additionally, the family-friendly event will raise funds for returning local charity partner – the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.
“Considering the marquee course and epic finish at the 50-yard line of the Rose Bowl, it’s no wonder this event sold out again this year” said Murphy Reinschreiber, Chief Operating Office of Conqur Endurance Group. “We’re pleased to offer this unique endurance experience to the community and grateful to the Rose Bowl and the City of Pasadena for partnering with us to make it happen.”
The Rose Bowl Rush Kids Run also returns to the Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K. Over 200 children between the ages of three and eight will take their mark for the fun-filled 400-meter dash, finishing on the field of the Rose Bowl. Limited entries are still available for families interested in participating in the Rose Bowl Rush Kids Run.
“We are grateful for our continued partnership with the Pasadena Half Marathon.” said Elizabeth Dever, House Director, Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. “We are only able to keep families close during their toughest times through the support and generosity of the community.”
All charitable proceeds will benefit The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, a community supported housing facility for families facing the most difficult life challenges: the illness of a child.
